The conditions of the kokoda track was very muddy, wet, and cold because of this the soldiers had caught many diseases especially from the insects and animals, then spreading them around to others, this made them miserable, and because of how remote the trail was, it was hard to get medical attention. The jungle in Kokoda was thick and dense, it was hard to see around, so most of the battles were fought in various villages and openings.
